Level 4 Award in Skin Peeling

The VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Skin Peeling is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add this therapy to their repertoire of treatment offerings.
Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent.

The aim of this qualification is to develop the learner’s knowledge, understanding and practical skills when using superficial skin peel products and techniques to rejuvenate the condition of the skin. Learners will acquire skills involved in providing a thorough consultation, skin health checks to establish the client’s suitability for treatment and to formulate a specific treatment plan tailored to suit individual client needs. Learners will prepare and apply a range of skin peels as well as providing the relevant pre and post care.

Learners must achieve the following mandatory unit:
• Provide skin peeling treatments

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment in the advanced aesthetic industry providing skin peeling techniques. Additionally, learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications at level 4 in one or more of the following areas:
• VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Principles and Practice of Aesthetic Therapies
• VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Radio Frequency
• VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Ultrasound

• Normal Track – 4 Weeks.  
• Fast Track – 2 Weeks.

• Theoretical instruction is offered online for group or institutional study, as well as through in-person attendance. Practical sessions are mandatory.

• At a minimum, learners are required to hold either the VTCT Skills Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skin Care or VTCT Skills Level 2 Certificate in Facial Skincare (or equivalent) and a qualification in level 3 Anatomy and Physiology.
