LEVEL 4 DIPLOMA IN LASER AND LIGHT TREATMENTS

The VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 4 Diploma in Laser and Light Treatments is designed to equip learners with the advanced practical and theoretical skills required to provide professional laser and light-based treatments. This qualification is suitable for individuals aged 18 and over, provides full occupational competence at Level 4, and offers an excellent foundation for further specialist training at Levels 3 and 4.

This qualification is ideal for learners wishing to work within the beauty, aesthetics, or laser therapy sector. It consists of four mandatory units, totaling 256 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

Core Skills Covered:

• Laser and Light Treatments for Hair Removal – including consultation, skin and hair analysis, identifying contraindications and contra-actions, conducting required tests, and adapting treatments to suit individual client needs
  • Laser and Light Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation – including consultation, detailed skin analysis (including Fitzpatrick skin typing), identifying contraindications and contra-actions, performing relevant tests, and tailoring treatments to client requirements
  • Managing Health, Safety and Security in the Salon – ensuring safe working practices and compliance with industry standards

Learners will also develop knowledge of client care and communication, along with the physiology of ageing, both essential for delivering safe and effective treatments.

This qualification also provides:

• Theoretical instruction is offered online for group or institutional study, as well as through in-person attendance. Practical sessions are mandatory.
