The ITEC Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Treatments is an advanced qualification designed for Level 3 qualified practitioners who wish to expand their treatment portfolio and progress into employment as a Level 4 Aesthetic Practitioner.
Learners are required to hold a regulated Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification (or equivalent) prior to enrolment.

What Does This Qualification Cover?

Developed in collaboration with industry employers and aligned to national and international aesthetic standards, this qualification equips learners with the essential knowledge, technical skills and professional competencies needed to work safely and effectively as a commercial aesthetic practitioner.

Learners must complete the following mandatory units:
• Principles, Practice and Ethics of Advanced Aesthetic Therapies
• Investigative Consultation for Advanced Aesthetic Therapies
• Skin Science for Advanced Aesthetic Therapies

Optional Units:

Learners must then select a minimum of three optional units from the approved list:

• Provide ultrasound treatments
• Enhance appearance using plasma pen techniques
• Enhance appearance using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
• Provide cosmetic skin needling treatments
• Provide skin peeling treatments
• Enhance appearance using dermaplaning techniques
• *Core of Knowledge for Laser and Light Devices
• Perform hair growth reduction using Intense Pulsed Light systems
• Perform hair growth reduction using LASER systems
• Perform skin rejuvenation using Intense Pulsed Light systems
• Perform skin rejuvenation using LASER systems

Important:
The Core of Knowledge for Laser and IPL must be completed alongside any Laser or IPL optional unit.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment as an aesthetic practitioner providing advanced aesthetic treatments. The range and breadth of this qualification means it equip learners to work in a wide variety of work locations such as salons, spas, and clinics.
Learners must achieve the following mandatory unit:
• Provide skin peeling treatments

• 4 Months

• Theoretical instruction is offered online for group or institutional study, as well as through in-person attendance. Practical sessions are mandatory.

• Learners are required to hold a regulated Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification (or equivalent).
